Dept. of Defense Looking for Energy Technologies for its Installations – First Announcement

The Department of Defense (DoD) is seeking technologies that can be demonstrated at its installations. The demonstrations are intended to validate the technology as to its cost savings and performance. DoD spends about $4 billion per year on facility energy consumption for its 500 military installations around the world. This includes the cost of providing energy to over 500,000 buildings as well as fueling about 160,000 non-tactical vehicles. Details may be found on the ESTCP web site.
