IBEW 934 Announces Solar Class Graduation

IBEW 934 of Kingsport announces the first graduating solar installation class on March 31, 2012. IBEW 934 announces the new addition to the electrical workforce will help Tennessee remain competitive in the solar sector as a lack of action could cause the state to lose energy jobs to other states that have fast growing solar workforces.
The solar installation certification along with the training through the IBEW local 934 electrician’s apprenticeship reassures my customers that our installations of any size are done safely and reliably. The customer can rest assured they are receiving quality craftsmanship.
New opportunities are opening up in the renewable energy sector as millions of federal stimulus dollars are made available for training and investment in the new energy economy. But the expected rapid growth of green jobs means that our economy will require hundreds of trained electricians who can safely and professionally carry out the work.  It’s a demand already being met by IBEW local 934.
